## Questions

### Does this course tell me what the law requires in my area?

No. It shows examples from official sources and teaches you what to ask. Rules differ by state, province, city and country. Your local building department or elevator authority decides what applies.

### Can this course tell me if my lift is safe?

No. A course cannot inspect a lift. A qualified elevator inspector can. If you are not sure about a lift, CPSC says to lock it out of use and have a qualified elevator inspector check it.

### What do I get when I pass?

You get a certificate of completion from this site. It is not a licence, and no regulator or code body issues it.
