## Questions

### Does a home elevator installer need a licence?

It depends on where you live. Florida says a registered elevator company must do all new installations. Washington and New York license elevator contractors. British Columbia points you to a class H elevating contractor. The UK has no installer licence for homelifts. Confirm with your local authority.

### Does this course replace advice from a lawyer or an inspector?

No. It teaches you what to ask and where to check. It does not give legal advice. Your local authority and a qualified inspector decide what applies to your lift.

### What do I get when I pass?

You get a certificate of completion from this site. It is not a licence, and no regulator issues it.
